Places of confinement do not negate human dignity.
Even there, a person remains a person—with their history, mistakes, and chance to change their life.
The prison and post-prison support program of the Light Charitable Foundation was created to help people not get lost after their release and to give them the opportunity to start a new phase of their lives.
What problem are we working on?
For many people who have spent a long time in prison, life on the outside is no less difficult than imprisonment itself.
They enter a world where they have to make their own decisions, take responsibility for themselves, build relationships, and plan for the future—often without any experience, skills, or support.
Without guidance and training, life on the outside can be chaotic, increasing the risk of relapse and a return to their previous path.
The Light Foundation works with people in places of confinement and after their release, helping them gradually adapt to life on the outside.
Support includes:
regular communication and accompaniment;
assistance in developing life skills and a responsible attitude toward freedom;
support in adapting to everyday life outside the prison system.
We do not provide ready-made solutions, but we help people learn to live consciously and responsibly in freedom.
Our work is based on respect, trust, and a person's voluntary desire to change.
We believe that lasting change is only possible when people are not left alone with a new reality.
persons who are in places of confinement;
people who have been released and need support and assistance in adapting;
those who are looking for an opportunity to build a new life in freedom.
