Support for children and adolescents

Every child has the right to a safe space for development, regardless of their family circumstances.
However, for many families, participation in clubs, sections, or developmental programs is inaccessible due to financial difficulties.

The Children and Youth Support Program of the Light Charitable Foundation aims to create an accessible and safe environment where children can develop, learn, and remain children — without financial barriers.

What problem we are working on

In crisis situations, children often lose access not only to stability, but also to opportunities for development.
Families are forced to choose between basic needs and extracurricular activities for children, which usually become an unattainable luxury.

We work to address this inequality, striving to ensure that a family’s financial difficulties do not deprive a child of the opportunity to grow, develop their talents, and feel supported.

How we help

The Light Charitable Foundation plans and gradually implements free programs for children and adolescents aimed at:

creating a safe space for communication and development;

comprehensive development of the child — social, emotional, and educational;

supporting children in difficult life circumstances without financial burden on families.

We strive to make participation in the foundation's programs free of charge and open to those families who need it most.

Current experience

In 2025, the foundation implemented a children's program in the form of a camp, in which 23 children participated.
This experience was the first step towards expanding the direction and forming permanent support programs for children and adolescents.

Who is this direction for?

children and adolescents from families in difficult circumstances;

children of internally displaced persons;

families who cannot afford to pay for additional educational or developmental activities for their children.
